Door installation — measurement, fitting and removal of old doors
SALUS PLUS measures on site, installs the new doors and takes the old ones away. We install security, interior and fire doors, throughout Slovenia and on the Croatian coast.
How installation works
Four steps on installation day — from protecting your home to handover.

Protecting the space and preparation
We cover the floors and the route to the door and lay out our tools before we touch anything.

Removing the old door
We take out the old leaf and frame without damaging the reveals.

Installation and fine adjustment
We set and anchor the new door, then adjust the hinges, seals and locking points around the perimeter.

Clean-up and handover
We tidy up, take the old door away and show you how to adjust and look after your new door.

Installation in an apartment block
Access and common areas
Before installation we check access, the lift and the stairwell dimensions. We protect the common areas and take the old leaf away the same day.

Installation in a new build
Coordinating trades
We coordinate the date with the flooring and decorating contractors so the doors go in at the right point in the sequence.

Installation in an existing frame
No demolition
If the existing frame is straight, intact and properly anchored, the new door can be fitted into it — with no demolition and no making good of the reveals.

Who takes care of what
No surprises on installation day — it is clear in advance what you prepare and what we bring.
You prepare
5 things- A clear route to the building and the entrance — the fitters arrive with doors that cannot be carried around tight corners between furniture.
- Clear space around the door, at least a metre on each side.
- Access to a power socket near the door.
- The alarm switched off or disconnected, if it is linked to the existing door.
- In a new build, the floors must already be at their finished height — otherwise the door cannot be set correctly.

We prepare the quote with the door and installation together — you see the final amount, not just the price of the leaf. Exactly what is included is listed in the quote.
Get a quoteWhen replacing a single door, installation is usually done in one day. The exact time depends on the condition of the frame and access, so we estimate it at the measurement visit.
Yes. Removal, disposal of the old door and cleaning up after installation are all part of the service — you do not need to arrange anything.
Usually not. We install doors without knocking out walls and finish the reveals with trims. If the measurement visit shows that the frame is damaged or the opening is uneven, we tell you the extent of any extra work in advance.
It depends on the model — with other doors we do not know the frame and hardware tolerances, so before we can answer we need the brand, model and dimensions. Send them to us and we will tell you whether we can take on the installation.
We give a 5-year warranty on installation — the same as on the doors themselves. The scope of cover depends on the manufacturer and model; we attach the exact terms for your chosen doors to the quote.
